This is an issue I have as well. An easy way to observe it would be how I approach video games. I’ve been known to restart and play the beginning multiple times so I can do it perfect instead of just finishing the game.

I’ve seen many moments of clarity from you. Not giving yourself enough credit. You’re pushing a boulder up a steep hill. Slips will happen but you’ve been there and you try again.

not so sure … pushing a boulder, good analogy. except, though i am headed up hill, i’m not gaining ground. if anything, i’m losing it.
